SF LED upgrade for G2Z/Z2?

Is there a LED upgrade for the G2Z or Z2 that brings it to over 100 lumens? Right now I have a non-LED 9P, but I'll be moving for college in summer, and it's very likely that I'll get a new SF and leave the 9P here. If that is the case, I want to see if I can get a smaller one like the G2Z or Z2 that will give me more than 100 lumens with a LED (the xenon lamp upgrade is not an option because I don't want to be carrying a box full of batteries every time I plan to use it).

Malkoff M60L would work well with what you have. FWIW my 0.02

Good luck finding one in stock. :shakehead

I agree, though, he makes great drop-ins, you should go for that if he has one available.

It's only 20 more lumens, though, plus I'm not sure on warrenties, it might void your Surefire's, and it's a bit ringy.

If you try, it's not all that hard. I have (3) M60's, (3) M60L's and (5) M60LL's. I got them at 3 different times, just have to be ready when they come out! I think they are WELL WORTH the wait! FWIW my 0.02

The issue with the P61 lamp is that it brings the battery life down to 20 minutes, that's why I wanted a LED upgrade. I don't mind the 1hr battery life of the 3x 123 ones, but 20 minutes is nothing.

And what's the change required to install the M60L on a Z2/Z2LED?

They don't call it a drop-in for nothing!

No, but I don't know how the factory LED flashlights are like, so I don't know if you just change the actual diode or you need to change some other part (like a reflector or someting of that sort.

You know the lamp+reflector that you can change out? the drop-in will just replace the whole thing. Malkoffs IMHO are some of the best in the business...

those are good to, although depending on when you leave for college, you may or may not get them in time.

using them or any other drop-in will not void surefire's warrenty as far as i know.

I have Deereelight Q5 drop in for my Z2. I like it and is bright. I think it's over 200 lumens.

The build quality of the Malkoff M60 is quite impressive to say the least.
