Thinking about a M@g623 in a 4DMag using Shaft li on D cells. Anyone know if these will that that amount of amp draw? If not, any suggestions? Thanks, Jim
Not a pro here, but are the D cells 3.7V? If so, they should based other posts I've read. Hopefully others will chime in with some real advice. Good luck. Where did you find LiIon D's?
My guess is, that if you are talking about Saft Lithium D Cells, they are primary, and not Li-Ion Rechargeables. Unless you actually were talking about Li-Ion, in which case, EVERYONE here would be all over you with boat loads of money.....
Saft makes a variety of Lithium (primary, non rechargeable) and Lithium Ion (secondary, rechargeable) chemistry cells - you need to be very specific and make sure you choose a cell that can handle your current requirements.
These batteries have great capacity for keeping clocks and other very low power devices running for years. Check the datasheet; note that the peak capacity is at only 8 milliamps. Not a good match for most lights.
