I can't tell you how many times I've been frustrated trying to accurately shim tower modules in turboheads.
The shims FM provided with his bi-pin towers are always either too thick or too thin.
There are generally no shims provided with LED tower modules, even though the units can definitely benefit from accurate placement in the turbohead.
I have a bucket-o-washers, but very few of them have a large enough inner diameter, and most are also too thick.
I bit the bullet.
McMaster-Carr sells almost everything, and this includes steel shims. They offer them in every size and thickness you could need.
I ordered 50-packs of 10mm ID / 16mm OD shims, in both 0.2mm and 0.5mm thickness.
What a treat!
Now I can fine-tune the placement of LEDs and Incan bulbs in any SF turbohead.
I'm happy!:twothumbs
