should I use up my li-ion battery before recharging it?

I have a pre-charged lithium-ion (18650) battery that was included with my "Spyder I Pro" laser from Wicked lasers.

I know that some batteries have the memory effect; users are recommended to use up all of the charge before recharging the battery for the first time. Do lithium-ion batteries have this effect? In other words, should I wait until the battery is almost completely empty before recharging it?

Hello Ixfd,

Charge it, and continue to charge it often. There is no memory effect associated with Li-Ion chemistry so you can charge often.

It is better to charge often than to over discharge.
