How well does eneloopy work? I know it's basically a novelty, but does the nose light up to different brightness levels depending on the state of charge?

I was just wondering if it is practical at all, or just a fun novelty to own.

I'm thinking of getting one since it's only $10.

mine works like this...
when full or freshly charged

when time to recharge/half-full (actually, more like anything below 85%)

when low (it's red)

when battery is empty, the LED would flash red once and turn off...

I saw the thread title and was going to take a pic of mine, but after seeing yours i'd be ashamed of my measly collection...

They don't sell them in any store here which is a shame. The only rechargables you can find around here are ray o vac, energizer and duracell. All of which are sub par to eneloop and cost more at retail than eneloop does at Amazon.

'White top' Duracell 800mAH/2000mAH (AAA/AA) rechargeables that are made in Japan are rebadged Eneloops.
