The parent company is doing an excellent job with the different price-tiers for Kershaw and ZT. I love my ZT 0562CF.... even though I originally ordered the G10 version of the 0562. Seller sent me the carbon fiber version. Decided, what the heck; I'll keep it.

Won't lie, if I see a ZT model I like, I check to see if Kershaw has a similar one in their line-up. I'm looking for knives I can carry, use, and easily re-sharpen. That's why I collect Kershaws, instead of ZTs.

On a side note, I can highly recommend the water-bottles that officially carry the Kershaw, and the ZT brand names. I use a ZT bottle at work. Developed a bit of a funky taste recently. Even though only things I fill it with are water. Used baking soda to give it a proper clean. Now it's as good as it was on Day 1. Highly recommend their water-bottles.

And highly recommend staying away from the newer Hydro-flasks that came out about a decade or so ago. The Made in USA ones were great, the Made in China ones.... Mine developed some sort of black mold on the inside, bottom of the water-bottle. Again, only ever filled it with water. Not sure what sort of pot-luck junk metal they're using inside of those water-bottles, but I'm done with them! I still remember trying to hunt down brick & mortar shops in Manhattan that sold Hydro-flasks. I found literally one in a Vegan health foods store on the East side. Only a handful on the West side. The Made in China ones couldn't even get the two-piece plastic lids right. I ended up cherry-picking mine from an Outdoors store.... The one that developed the black mold on the inside.

My EDC depending on how I'm dressed, these are knives I've made.

The top one is seldom carried: Devin Thomas 440-C/AEB-L "spirograph", with Timascus and mammoth ivory.
Daily casual with ATS-34 blade nitrogen cryo'd, Devin Thomas ladder mokume and 1x1 carbon fiber, 12 years old.
Bottom is shop carry, ATS-34 nitrogen cryo'd, heat treated 416 bolsters with celluloid tortoise. Carried and still in use at 26 years. Retrofitted a pocket clip about a year ago.

gorgeous work on all three.
That DT damascus is one of the nicer patterns I've seen from him.

... BTW, they didn't invent the Axis lock. It was Doug Ritter, one of their employees, who they unceremoniously fired, who deserves that credit. ...
According to Doug Ritters own site
"Back in 1998 a new blade lock design was introduced that addressed all these concerns, developed and patented by custom knifemakers Bill McHenry and Jason Williams. McHenry and Williams spent four years developing the lock and getting it patented. Benchmade Knife Comapany bought the rights and tagged the new lock with the moniker "AXIS Lock."

Now two Buck 501, the steel is the same, the only difference is the color of the overlays and the one with blue plywood, for some reason, has a less rigid spring, it is pressed much easier. The hardness was also measured on the red one, exactly 61.5. Wherein the steel is dented, not crumbled. A couple of days ago I had to pick out some money stuck in the coin acceptor, and I had to do it with a knife. The collisions with the protective plate made of 304 steel left several small dents. It was a drinking water dispenser. He sells water for 3 cents a liter, 30 meters away there are competitors who sell water for 4 cents a liter. These competitors have filled the coin acceptor of the cheaper machine (green in the picture) with dirt and pieces of tree bark
