I tend to like using lanyards with my flashlights, but I also like to have good tailstand capability. In some lights the defaut way of attaching a lanyard may impede good tailstanding. One of the examples is Nitecore SRT3, which has a fantastic tailstand stability thanks to the complete circular "tail bezel" and fully recessed clicky. However, if the lanyard is attached in the "normal" way, the light becomes much less stable.
A simple solution is to run the loop a bit differently:
It gives you perfect tailstanding, without the need to use plastic fasteners or attach the lanyard to the belt clip.
