Guys, I'm getting ready to send one of my eneloop chargers to a friend of mine but just wanted to confirm.

I assume they DO charge other Ni-Mh other then eneloops?

Thanks

George

Yes, but...model number of charger?

Some of the Eneloop chargers do seem as if they might be optimized for Eneloop batteries. Their performance with other NiMH cells might not be quite as good (that is to say, they might have a higher risk of missed termination).

Hot damn boy! A straight answer? Are you not feeling ok? :nana:

Come to think of it, I'm a bit of a dumbass! This is for a cordless phone and I just realized, the damn things go in the chargers anyway. Never mind...as you were..

Re: Simple Eneloop charger question

There should be absolutely no reason not for eneloops to work in a regular charger - in fact Sanyo (or their dealers?) even advertises them as such.

I charge my eneloops in whatever that suits my purpose. The C9000 or Charge Manager for health check. A Tecxus TC6000 for daily use as it's silent, easy and versatile. And finally a GP Ultra Smart when I need them ready in a hurry - charges with 3.4 A so they're ready in ~40 min when totally empty. Bought some years back and they're almost like new.
Have wondered if they're OK to use in an even faster charger. Most "15 min" chargers charges with 7 A (!).
