hi there,

just looking for a very simple volt check meter and was wondering if this would be good enough for $12.50USD, considering adding on another $16.75USD for postage as I am In the UK.

this is from darksucks.com

Sent from my phone with camera with flash and internet on it... :D

Why not check local shops for a DMM (Digital multi meter).
A DMM contains a voltmeter and a few other functions as well and even the cheapest DMM will have the same precision as a 3 digit voltmeter.

As mentioned above-- you're much better off getting a multimeter locally.
It will be much more functional at the amount of money you are willing to spend.

You can always check Craigslist.co.uk for anyone selling a multimeter.

thanks, will look at DMM's now it looks.
cheers everyone....

A cheap DMM usual is good at the voltage readings, if you want to get something better the mid range is $50 to $100 and the top is a couple of $100.
You can see in my DMM guide (See signature) some of the stuff a DMM can be used for.
One of the better midrange DMM's is the UT61E, as long as you do not measure on anything more powerful than standard mains outlet.

thank you HKJ. looking at that page now.
something around $150.

nice help you are always. thanks for your time.
