I have a Streamlight 2D cell Twin Task - the guy with the incan main light and LED secondary. I was very disappointed to see a not all that bright, yellow light from the main light. I expected something like a Mag 3D. Is there any easy way to improve this?

I haven't heard of a better bulb, but someone here can probably recommend an overdriven bulb.

You can't expect much with a 3 volt vs. 4 1/2 volt light.

Well, you could use 2 3AA holders instead of the 2D cells and a corresponding 7.2V bulb, but the leds will fry.

The 2D was the first of the Twin-Task lights that I got. I was disappointed with both the incandescent and LED performance. I returned it and got the 3C version, and I am much more satisfied with that.

Yeah, I was going to say that the easiest route would probably be to buy a 3C Twin Task. Much better incandescent than the 2D.

I suppose, but a wimpy yellow light? From *Streamlight*? I expected better somehow /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I suspect I'll just retire it and replace it with soemthing else. It's not like there are no other lights around here! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
