I went through my lego parts boxes today, and put this together:

Leef 2x18650 grooved E-head C-tail tube with a Surefire C Clicky carrying an AW Softstart switch and a delrin tail shroud. I don't remember what the E head came from, but it's got a domed lens, and inside is a Lumens Factory IMR E2 lamp.

Nice form factor, and more than 3 times the battery run as 2x IMR16340s. Even more using the 3-speed AW switch.

Most likely an early model E2D. Those came with a dome lens. Looks like the teeth got cut down on your E-series head at one point.

I think it now qualifies as a hotwire. I added FiveMega's new mini E-series turbo head with a 25mm reflector.

It's now running a 21W CL-1794. It's probably putting out nearly 1,000 lumens.
