I'm looking to assemble a flashlight with a "mode" driver. Probably make my own driver actually (previous thread).
So I'm looking at DX's empty cases like this one:

But that's not gonna work, right? The tail switch disconnects the batt, instead of having power and a separate switch. I'd like to be able to change modes by say holding down the button for 3 sec. But that sort of input doesn't even seem possible. For that we need a momentary switch not a click-on click-off so the chip can see when it's being held down.
At best we could have rapid clicking change the mode but I'd rather not do that type, personally.
Do KD/DX have any cases with that kind of switch? I couldn't find one.
