Smoking P4 in Mag Drop-in (literally!)

Thanks again for the input folks. As I wrote in my last post, cleaning up my sloppy soldering job fixed the problem. No more smoke, no more blue tint. I won't hazard to guess how the driver feels about the LED exchange, but it now appears that it was never the problem.

So apparently these little P4s can take some abuse because I did let it smoke for a few minutes on more than one occasion (thought maybe one needs to burn off flux or something - what the heck do I know...) So props to SSC - they may be rubbery and attract dust, but they can take a lickin'.
