A little OT but the battery technology is regularly used here, so I though it is worth a shot.
We have a small device that should last 14 days on a 2200mA 18650 Li-Ion, but to save someone having to go out and change the battery we tried a 3v solar panel.
At present we are using the same charger circuit as we use for our other Li-Ion powered devices, making suitable changes for 1 cell and a limiting charge current of 100mA. The charger is a constant current then constant voltage design. This design normal charges a 3 cell pack at 1A, so the components are over rated and component count is high.
Just wondering if anyone had come across a simple (possibly 1 chip) solution.
