Received my $12.99 solarforce host from Lighthound last week (what a great deal!) and had a spare XP-G + driver lying around so I put together a custom drop in for it. It's a nicely sized 18650 light, a little larger than my custom RC-F4 MCE mod, but has a slightly better hot spot and longer runtime.

Specs

Solarforce L2 18650 gunmetal grey
XP-G emitter
LXP optic
1A 3-speed driver
custom "$1.75" heatsink
bicycle inner tube grippy

If I am not mistaken, your heatsink looks like some copper disks (coins ? )
glued together ?

Cool mod

You got it!! It's 7 x quarters reflow soldered together (hence, why I call it 7 x 0.25 = $1.75 heatsink) I find them very useful and great heat conductors. I've also used pennies (pre 1982) and nickles, which have something like 95% copper content. They are reflow soldered on a stove top, then dremmeled and filed to fit. Take some work, but makes for very cool and useful heatsink.
