[EDITED TO SHOW CLEARER PHOTOS & DROP PRICE.] It's about 5 years old and was rarely used. There is a rusty looking spot on the bezel though I don't think it's a blemish. I believe it was always there but I don't recall.

+1 .... or you don't have macro, stand back far enough for the camera to be able to focus sharply, then crop, then post.

FYI - that is actually a FireFly II -123 (meaning it uses a 123 battery in this configuration.

good light. very flexible, even today.

here are the specs on the FF2-

Size - 2.7" long x 0.78"diameter (69mm x 20mm approximately)

Material - body and bezel ring are 7075 Aluminum (aerospace grade), head is high-grade copper

Finish - Hard Anodizing, type III

Finish colour - Gun-metal (deep blue-grey)

Power source - one CR123 Lithium battery (optional cell holder/body available for a CR2 battery)

Light Source - one Luxeon III high-powered LED

Switch - two options - twist on/off, or 2-stage twist (high, low, off) switch

Optics - two options - Customized NX05 (bright , small centre hotspot, good sidespill light)
- Customized Fraen (larger, smooth hotspot, but very little sidespill) - more throw

Regulator - complete units come with a dat2zip BadBoy650 sandwich, driving the Lux3 at 650mA

Runtime - with BB650, over 1 hour at full power and over 4 hours on low power
