Hello CPF!
Its been awhile since I posted on here. I am looking to try out an array of SST-90s or SST-50s in some projectors. I am currently running a 50watt ~4000 lumen 49 emitter LED. I cannot efficiently collimate all the light though.
Luminus - SST-90: http://www.luminus.com/content1504
I am wondering and will be attempting to calculate the best design I can to get the most parallel or collimated light into the Projector as possible.
The biggest descion would be TIR (larger lens less LEDs) vs Other Optics.
I know TIR is the most efficient to get collimated light but when we are dealing with space I am unsure. The TIR setups will take up much more room. A less efficient but much smaller set of optics with a bigger array might do the trick.
Anyone have any thoughts?
