how many do we use on this forum? I will start..

"I dont want to ruin my adjusted night vision"

How many what... lumens?

If so the low on Novatac which I think is 0.08 is still a bit bright if you have fully dark adjusted eyes.

please close this thread, I think it is a total failure!:(

My new light has a green tint :(

What's the best light? Also, I can only spend $15.

How far does it throw?

I'm going to recommend a light to you not because it suits your needs but because I just bought it and I'm excited about it.

Thanks Carrot. At least you know what I was getting at. Sometimes the threads on CPF remind me of the auto reviews in the monthly auto mags.

"Why do SureFires cost so much?"

"At least the strobe is hard to get to"

"Will it take rechargeables?"

"Recommend a light for self-defense"

"I'll take it! :paypal:"

"hard anodized II"

"What's the best flashlight?"

"Why titanium?"

"My DX light broke - How can I fix it?"

"And the lights went out..."

":dedhorse:"

"Buy both"

"If you could have only one..."

Is 0.08 Lumens the legal limit for fully dark adjusted eyes?

Yea it was the fact that it posted in the LED section I was thinking torches, If it were in the General forum I would have switched my brain to conversation mode, it is funny though:laughing:

What's the brightest flashlight?

[You can SOOOOO tell when someone is pre-addiction]
...so I want a metal light that never needs its bulb replaced and has a push-button for on/off. And, so it's really bright, let's say at least 4 C or D batteries. Oh, and being able to focus from spot to wide is a MUST HAVE!

How many lux are in a lumen?

Is there like a really powerful flashlight that I can run directly off an AC power line? [Duh, it's called a lamp]

Anything better than a Mag-Lite?

[You can SOOOOO tell when someone is hopelessly addicted]
...so I modded my CL1H with a M61 and a UCL. I soldiered on a new XC3 driver and adjusted the PWM to a higher undetectable frequency on low-low mode. I also am now driving each die at 700 mA for a total of 2.8 A to the MC-E. I'm thinking about getting a WC tint however, so maybe I'll put this up on CPFMP and have the WC MC-E ordered and on the way before I even sell what I just modded. Yeah, but I only like flashlights for practical / work-related purposes... I'm not a silly fanboy for no reason!
[You are even more hopeless if you called my XC3 driver as b.s. ..... LOL]

I have the new AcmeFlashlight with an XR-E R2 smooth reflector and I can light up a quarter sized spot 4 and a half miles away... Now I got this new XP-G R5 and it only throws 3.9 miles and lights up everything.

I thought the XP-G was supposed to be better?

What's the brightest flashlight under $50

What's the best flashlight under $50

What's the best flashlight under $50 with good throw

What's the best flashlight under $50 with good flood

What's the best flashlight under $50 using AA...
