Streamlight Polytac/Scorpion C4 LED on 3.7-4.2v 17670?

I've tried to get an answer to this on a couple of recent Polytac threads, but have never received an answer, so..........

Will the new Streamlight 2x123 C4 LED lights run on a rechargable Li-on 17670?

Heard back from Brightguy and Lighthound; They both said no to Li-ons, but my guess is that's Streamlight's stance.
