Anyone tried strion 3.7V bulb in miniminimag ?
I think if strion bulb fit to miniminimag and if you use one Saft primary 3.7V AA cell or a 14500 Li-Ion cell, it would be a great small 70lumen light.
I'd like to know whether it works or not.
Thanks

The Saft primary cells are intended for very low current (computer memory backup) and will be useless with a Strion bulb.

A 14500 li ion cell is a more interesting idea, but is a Mini-minimag really that much smaller than a Strion?

Anyway, the Strion bulb is too large for the Minimag's bulb holder and reflector. You might be able to concoct a mod, but I think you're better off staying with the stock Strion.

How do you want to deal with produced temperature of Strion's bulb? Alum reflector and UCL? How about charging system? What kind of run time you will get?
I don't think worth it.

You'll be discharging the 14500 cell at a rate of around 3C. Danger Will Robinson, Danger.
