I found one great thing about the Wicked Laser Torch. It led me to this great forum while reserching it. I was disappointed to see it's not a great
choice, but I'm thankful I found this forum so I didn't waste the money.

So, what are good options for a flashlight of this style and price range?Maybe a little more $ if necessary. There is just so much info here, it's difficult to stay on track. I want a mag style light as opposed to a spotlight type with a handle. Of course I want the brighest, best beam throw, whitest, longest runtime light I can get. Who doesn't right? I know. If you could share your opinions I would greatly appreciate it. Also recommended places to buy.

wicked laser torch is just a m@g running a 100W Halogen bulb...and is probably a setup you can build on your own(if you don't mind looking for parts on the forum..
if you want high output and "resonable" runtimes...let's say..1 hour?..
then you might have a look at H.I.D.s...
search for POB HID or the N30 HID...

I guess I wasn't paying attention. I was thinking the Wicked torch was hid. I see now. I really think I want an hid. Bang for the buck right? Don't think I'm interested in the POB or N30 though. I'm really not looking for a lantern or spotlight type housing.

Microfire K3500, but the beam is slightly on the blue color side. I'd go for this light if I got the extra budget, cool looking and pretty compact.:naughty:

I considered that one, but seems there is a lot of bad reviews on the microfire here.

hmm...in flashlight form i guess the better option would be to go with the AE Xenide 25W..."lower" output than the microfire and reliability...haven't heard any bad things about those really..
