My mom-in-law is 88 and lives in her own home and is quite self sufficent. She has a 2-D cell maglight she keeps around but after she saw my little Inova xo-3 she seems to like it but her fingers can not operate the tail clicky.

I'm open to suggestions for an easier to operate light w/o a til clicky and something just a bit smaller than the maglight. I thought about something with cr123 batteries with the long shelf light. I'd like to keep the price around fifty bucks or so.

THANKS and Happy Holidays.:anyone:

how about dropping a maglite bulb replacement? sure it might not be as good as a brand new torch but you get the benefits of LED and she gets to keep using her familiar torch

2C with LED? Might be easier to grip than the 2D for a woman's hand, and with the LEDs, get decent run-time on the C cells...

How about a 3C or 2C MagLite. Much smaller and lighter, but familiar replacement. With a LED dropin, it's a handy light.

...thank's for the suggestions. I thought about the LED drop in replacement and the smaller familiar size C cell size is an excellent idea too.

Mmmmmm, switch on the side of the lights are not so popular and readily available. She really likes my smaller size light.
