Have been using an older (4 years maybe?) icpsolar powerflex 10w solar panel for charging batteries in the field. If you are looking for a really nice setup, spend frequent time away from AC power, and have a few rupees to spare, these are excellent viable alternatives for recharging batteries and other portable electronics (just ordered another for a friend):
sunlinq 12w folding/flexable solar panels with adapters
Been using a MAHA 204gt (with car adapter) for charging and it couldn't be easier.
Some notes on those interested in voltages and output.
-in full direct 90deg. tangent to the sun, you can expect 17.4V
-at ~65-90deg tangent you'll get around 16-16.8V
-at ~35-65deg there's ~12.8-15.6V
-anything lower and you get a fairly constant maH output at 1:1 ratio (i.e. 12watts/12 volts= 1A)
just a headsup! :tinfoil:
