I searched but couldnt seem to find...
Last night I was playing with my M20C that I have had since they first came out. I like the light with the control ring and all, but would like to have more light out of it.
I took the head apart and was surprised how easy it is to get to the LED. Im new to modding, but wondered if anybody has upgraded the LED in this. I saw an RRT-0 around here somewhere with I believe and SST-50 in it and this M20C looks like it would be just as easy. With the metal reflector and more surface area it seems like the M20C would surely dissipate the heat better than the rrt-0 with an SST-50. (btw does anybody know the FS RRT-0 SST-50 thread im talking about?)
Has anybody swapped the LED out of one of these sunwayled lights, specifically the M20C? Would it be a matter of just swapping the LED with an SST-50? Or would the driver need to be swapped as well? The light is cheap enough it wouldnt kill me if I ruined it, but would like to know if its do-able for a first time modder...
