Super-budget version of Tank007 E08

This one's from an outfit called focalprice, model 8032 - looks just like the Tank007 E08, but 10 bucks cheaper at $2.88 shipped. No Cree emitter, of course, and is almost certainly not HA-III. But since the Tank007 designs seem to be fairly good, this cheapie might be a goodie, at least for trying out. Just ordered a couple and will report back once they arrive.

Looks like one of the many "police" varations of the venerable generic Chinese 1W 1-AA flashlight. I think most are pretty much the same thing, just different trim. I'm starting to like the AAA lights more - even though they have less runtime, there seems to be more variety of designs and are generally handier.

moviles, I'm sure it's just the same generic Chinese led as on some of my other super-budgets, some of which are entirely servicable. Obviously I'm not expecting much, but if I like the overall design I might go ahead buy the Cree version for myself and others.

I received two of these lights today. Fit and finish are nice for this price point, and the generic led is sufficiently bright, if not a little blue and certainly not Cree-level. Rear clicky is easily engaged and might turn on accidently in the pocket, though.
