I'm trying to determine which, if any, heat shrink materials are compatible with cyanoacrylate. I can't fit the tubing around a particular fitting and the attached wire diameter is very small. Cutting a strip, gluing the ends around it and then shrinking is the goal. Cant remember the plastics that work best. Will this work??

How big is the fitting and how small is the wire? You can get heatshrink with a higher shrink ratio then the usual 2:1, you can get up to 10:1. I don't think CA would work in that manner as it usually doesn't play nice with heat.

You can even get adhesive lined heatshrink which has a flexible hot-melt glue inside of it, which bonds quite well to some jacket/insulation materials.

Really, 10:1?! That would work, but it also has to pass a T. I guess it's back to MMC. Maybe I'll find some sheets and try it. It'd be nice to be able to seal anything, ya know?

EDIT: fitting is about 1" in circumference and wire is 16-18g
