I bought this flashlight for 35 dollars from DealExtreme.

The design resembles UltraFire WF-500 or G&P R500.

The reflecting mirror is long deeply.

Cree XR-E is fixed with a screw.

The terminal side of the module.

A head and the body are joined and cannot divide it.
An O ring and a spacer were in the depths of the head.

The heat conduction grease is not painted with.

The range to light up is bright very narrowly.

This flashlight is very excellent.
However, you must be careful about the choice of the battery and the adjustment of the extension tube.

Please visit my site if you need the explanation of the detailed battery.

I was able to view the pics by copying and pasting the pic urls into an explorer window.

I'm sorry the image of blog seems not to be able to link the outside. I moved to a web album from blog.
Is it displayed now?

Great! Now I want one.

The reflector is excellent choice for the Cree LED. Imagine this light with a Q5.

Great write up!

monozof,
Thank you for the excellent review.
How is this light on two CR123s? They fit well?
On your site I noticed that you also have the 3W Cree Projection Flashlight (different to the STF).
Can you tell us how this light compares to the STF? Which one do you think is better?

Great review:goodjob:

Seems to be a really good thrower for a reasonable price. Now someone compare it to the Lumapower MRV, Please :) .

Welcome to the forums monzof!

I like the way you do your beamshots and the fog pics are very interesting to see. Pretty nice light it seems for the cost and it looks good to the eye as well....thanks for the review and pics.

Thank you for watching my blog.
The test of the 3W Cree flashlight is from this.
I think that there is influence of the heat than STF when I use the flashlight with one battery.
And, as for this converter, the best ability does not come out at around 4V; think.
I think MRV to have ability for very superior radiation of heat.
However, the low voltage may become a hindrance.

Holy cow, this is what i have been waiting for :twothumbs
been looking for this review

Nice write-up appreciated.

Could you also show some beamshots of "3W Cree Projection Flashlight" compared with "Super Thrower Far Projection 3W"?

That would be great...

Thank you for your reply, but Im afraid I didnt understand much!:(
I realise you are using an internet translator, so the translation wont be very good!
Perhaps another japanese speaking member could help you with the translations?
However your excellent pictures dont need any translation, thank you!

Welcome to the forums monzof!

My MRV significantly out-throws my G&P R500. It has nowhere near the R500's "wall of light" output however. Judging from the pics it appears the WF-500 on 2 18650s outhrows the STFP 3W. Since the R500 & WF-500 are considered comparable in output. My guess is the MRV will substantially out-throw the STFP 3W.

A direct head-to-head MRV-STFP 3W comparison would be nice...

Re: Super Thrower Far Projection 3W Cree vs. MRV

Have you gus ever seen the Streamlight H.I.D Lite Box , that sick light can throw up to 2 miles with that large reflector !
