Superflash.....clone ?

I think it is not a clone, it is just the same, but sold with another brand. I think that Smart brand is for Europe and Planet bike is for North America.

I have it (Smart 317R Superflash) almost six months and I'm very satisfied.

Oh, great. Now all the guys from the US who don't like the white plastic on the Super Flash will have to order from the UK to get that cool black back piece.

Better warn your UK shops to get ready for massive US-based orders (starting today).

;)

(Assuming this is the same as the Super Flash available in the US.)

The back is neither white nor black, it is transparent! (well, with gray tint) :) You can see on batteries inside. I'm not at home now to make some closeup foto, but on this picture it could be visible.

Btw. if i compare lights by Smart here with products by planet bike, they look very similar.

Ah! I can see it now. At first, I wasn't sure if that was the photo quality or my monitor or what. But now I can see that it's darkly translucent. Looks like "Toshiba" batteries inside (maybe)... ;)

Yup, even the same batts that come with the SuperFlash.

Yah it may just be a different name by the same company to appeal to another section of the continent. Or they changed the light modes to comply with local laws and changed the company name as well to avoid confusion. Other then that the unit looks just like the PB Superflash.

I do wished they'd make a 1W PB Superflash. Anyone mod thier PB Superflash?

I know its an old thread but just want to add some pics of the UK version of superflash that I just bought (after loosing my TL-LD1100 to a bike theft ) as I couldn't find any other pic describing what to expect from this crazily bright light.

Whats in the package:

Just hope it will help other peoples picking up the light to know what to expect. (The first mistake I do was to look directly at the high output led when inserting the batts and accidentially click on the switch :twothumbs yay and awsome :duh2::eek::eek:)

last week I bought another rebranded version. it's a Cordo rebrand (cordo aims primarily at the dutch market). It's exactly the same as the Smart version pictured above, it just says Cordo instead of Smart and it was 15 euro instead of the Smart version that sells for 18 euro around here (if you can find it)...
