This started off as a 800mah driven TYOH bin light with an optic. Now it sports a P3 Bin Cree XR-E and a TNC HyperLux V reflector. Compared to a 5 watt WYOS SFIII with a MCR38 it blows it out of the water. The 5 Watter does have a larger hotspot though dimmer and the Cree has 4x the side spill.

I know this is a 2-cell (2xcr123) light, but now that is has a Cree, what converter does it have and will it run as nice on a 17670 (or 18650 ?) as with 2x3v ?

It should run on a 17670 as well as it's a buck converter.

Well, bummer. I was hoping to get my old SFIII back, all fancied up. But Mac didn't get to my PM in time before the Kenster swooped in for the kill. :awman:

Roc, SWEET! Combat grip and I love the tailcap.:thumbsup: Have some P4`s in the mail and I am looking forward to seeing the difference from the P3 I have been putting in lights. If it doesn`t really show to my eyes, no biggie. P3 is bright. Q`s should be the real ultimate WOW when we can get them.:grin2:

Yes Ken is definetly one of the Good Guys :) I met him myself when he gave me a SFIII as a gift. I didn't even know him at the time!

So Ken what a coincidence you've given way 2 SFIII's :)
