i have 2 APEX - The right one does not have a headband tool to open the battery tray

As i am located in europe it is not easy/cheap to make a telephone call. - On the PT-homepage there is no email-support adress. (only tel-number)

So does anyone know an email adress for the princeton-support. :thanks:

The Apex I gave to my Dad had that kind of buckle. I was still able to fit the shorter portion into the slot of the plastic screw to open the battery case.

A word of warning .... if you use the "designed" buckle to unlock the battery case and you don't hold it firmly the buckle itself will snap.

Honestly .... I'm getting ....*pause*.... loosing my faith in ...*pause* ..... wondering why Apex has such a great reputation when so many of us have had problems.

(or is it just me ... cracking plastic)

The plastic that PrincetonTec seems to be so brittle that any stress cracks it.

Weird, did you buy it used?

I took a file to the inside lip of the battery case of mine and now I can open it up with my hands.

A penny, nickel, dime or quarter all work, too. A quarter has the best leverage. :) I'm sure other countries' coins will work, too.
