hey guys

i found a shop selling a new Surefire 6PX Defender
its the single output LED 320 lumens version

i know the light has now been discontinued for a while,
but is it still considered a good light?
and is 320 lumens still relevant today?

cheers

Looks like a nice single mode light if that is what you need. Also, it depends on the price. I generally like an option for a low mode, but I do keep an Elzetta Bravo with rotary tail cap (single mode) on my nightstand, just in case I need a no nonsense single mode fairly powerful light. There are also smaller lights with clips on them if you were thinking of pocket carry.

If it shines anything like a 320 lumen G2X, it most certainly is relevant. The output is fine for general use, and I'd be happy enough to use this output in a duty belt light (if I didn't have already have Elzetta and Malkoff!). I've got a 200 lumen 6PX, and it throws very well for its output but the spill isn't particularly bright. I think it's a great light, if it's on sale.
