Hello, I recently replaced my A2 bulb with the Lumens Factory HO-A2 120 lumen bulb. The bulb stopped working yesterday after being in the flashlight for maybe 2 weeks.
I thought it might be the batteries because of the added lumen rating. I only use the light for brief periods while at work but only sparingly, which means about 3 minutes total time. I checked the filament at everything looks fine. I replaced the bulb with an original which now works fine.
I did notice that with the Lumens Factory bulb while pressing the tail cap the LED's light up and when pressing harder for the center light to illuminate the LED's get brighter? But still no center light??????
Any idea what happened?

This will probably get moved to the incan forum, but you need to check if the lamp is still good. If you take it out and find a piece of wire, connect one of your batteries to it to see if you get it to light up, if not, you probably have a dead lamp. If it does light up, make sure the A2 head is tightened down all the way and try fresh quality batteries.

Wrong place....

I haven't never seen something like this. Looks to be realy problem with LF lamp.

Either your batteries are low (which doesn't explain why the stock LA works; maybe lower resistance), or your LF lamp is toast (premature death can happen).

If you have a DMM, check for continuity of the LF lamp. If the DMM beeps, your lamp is still good.

Welcome to CPF, jw1.

I'll move your thread to the Incandescent section - B/S/T is for sales only.

As greenLED says, it sounds as if the LF bulb is toast. If you have a DMM, you can check this by measuring the resistance.

Your A2 might also benefit from a good cleaning (threads and contacts).
