I just had an email from Surefire asking me to complete an online customer satisfaction survey for my E1B. I'm just wondering how many of you guys have got one? Obviously you need to have registered a Surefire product with them to be asked but I wonder what sort of ratio of customers are receiving these or if it's everyone?

I got the email yesterday for the survey.

They could send ya a hat or something for your time :)

They're probably collecting info from buyers for the last year or so.

Might have been an idea to check on customer satisfaction BEFORE the price hike. It's like brushing the teeth before a buffet. hehe

I got one for my A2. I told them how I wasn't crazy about the 4 different colors of what's supposed to be the same color . . . and that they didn't care because it's cosmetic.

I also let them have it about their ill-timed price increase.

But other than that . . . they're great! :D

Could you explain what you mean?

Regards,
Tempest

Sure. Here is a pic of an A2 that I no longer have. I had 3 in a row with the same problem. My current one is the worst yet. It's a subtle and minor thing but to a flashaholic . . . . Anyway, if you look closely you will see different colors to the finish depending on the section you are looking at. This one only has two distinct colors but you get the idea. It's probably due to variances in the metals or the thicknesses of the pieces or the amount of fine-ness in the final polishing, etc. They probably use the same annodizing process but the different pieces take it differently. I've seen this when staining wood. I refinished a grand piano once with the same stain and different pieces of wood took differing amounts of stain and there were subtle differences. It's probably the same thing. Again, not trying to be anal, and it's not a big deal, but Surefire asked so I told them!! :nana:

The funniest thing about cosmetics issues, is that when do you use your light? When there is none.

No one will see our shame.

But ya, I understand, you spend a good buck, and nothing matches.I've never seen type 2 ano not matching.

Now that you mention it, my Inovas all match perfectly.

For me it doesn't matter, but I do feel your pain.

That is weird because last night I received a survey for a 6pd that I purchased. They usually send out mass customer surveys for the same exact light like the E1B a couple of weeks ago. I guess they are just trying to gather up info from different lights they sell.

I suppose the different colors wouldn't really matter,
if it was just a FLASHLIGHT.

However . . . .

SureFire is an Illumination Tool.

yea i got that one yesterday as well, also had one for my E2L about 2-3 weeks ago, their really long surveys

I don't think Surefire makes hats. They would probably make Cranial Heat Retention Devices, and charge $500 for them. They would however be made in the USA and be fully warranteed for life.

I'm sure they would call it the E-series hat and they would market an E1L with it and call it a special package and charge you $250 dollars because the hat has a reinforced brim to handle the hard anodized aluminum from breaking down the brim. I can see it now. The item's style number would look something like this

E1L-WH-HAT - $250

:paypal:

And . . . .

If they ARE working on a new Hat for their line-up . . . .

Customer Service won't know ANYTHING about 'em.

And Size_15s wouldn't be allowed to talk about it.

Except, perhaps, to mention that it MIGHT
(repeat, MIGHT) be shipping in time for SHOTshow2009.

But, of course, it'll be late, as usual.

We'll complain about the delays, but
we'll STILL flock to the pre-order lists,
so we don't "miss-out" on this opportunity.

And . . . .

When they finally DO ship . . . .

Al will have the ONLY ONE in Purple !

I guess it must be subjective then - the HA in that photo looks pretty well matched, to my eyes  Bezel ring is slightly different, but pretty good :)

No, it's probably your monitor. I'm at work using a 6 bit flat panel monitor and it looks the same color here too. The real light in that photo has at least two distinct colors.

I've registered a few of my Surefires and haven't gotten a survey.
