I've recently become re-addicted to incans for some reason and have been piecing together a few e-series style lights. Anyways my current favorite is just a regular e1e with the stock (mn01?) lamp. The lamp has a black base and (obviously) runs off 1 cr123.

My problem is I just bought a e1e head with the stock lamp (seller said also mn01) included. This lamp has a tan base and fires up VERY dim in my e1e. Could I have been mistakenly send a bulb for an e2e??

It would be great if I did, as I have an legoed e2e waiting for a LA. I just don't want to pop this one in if it is indeed for a one celled light :sick2:. Thanks for any help!!!

I don't buy or sell ANY E2e's...so if there was a mistake, it was done at the Surefire factory. I took that head directly off an E1e-BK and sent it to you whole. Maybe you've been too used to LED's and the "ugh" of incan caught you off guard. haha.

LOL that is a definite possibility :whistle:. I just wanted to know if the difference in base colors meant anything. Would an e2e bulb even fire up with one cell??

Beige/white = MN03 (E2e)
Blue = MN02 (E2o - 25 lumens)
Black = MN01 (E1e)

Well, that's very helpful! It looks like it might have been an MN03 instead, huh? Wouldn't be the first time that SF has screwed up at the factory...ie. 1-stage E2DL's and KX2-BK. :shakehead

The 1 stage E2DL was the worst thing that could happen to me... I was interested by it and they announced it as a 2 levels light... which thrown away my interest... Now they come with this small "mistake" just to hook me and make me empty my wallet again! :) I love this 1 stage E2DL and I also like their small mistake as I don't like at all the UI on those multi-stages lights. I also have a 1 stage E2L and I don't plan to replace it anytime soon.
