Does anyone know if you can run the E2e MN03 60 lumen LA in the E1e?
If so how many lumens will the output be?
Will it be greater than the MN01 output of 15 lumens?

:thanks:

I'm curious about anything to do with the E1E as I just got one yesterday and it came with the MN01 and MN02. Not sure which is which, but one of them has a nice warm tint and incredible output for such a low rating, while the other is a very low output and much warmer tint yet. I'm assuming the second one with lower output was the one intended for 2 cell lights.

It will be dim and sickly yellow as hell, don't even try it...

The EO-E1R from Lumens Factory is much brighter and whiter than the MN03. You'll need an AW RCR123 3.7v battery though. To run primaries, you have the choice of using the Lumens Factory HO-E1R, which is much brighter than the stock MN01.

Check it out: www.lumensfactory.com

The MN02 is designed for 6 volts (it's an E2e low output lamp assembly).

The one with the blue base is the MN02 and is designed to ran on 2 primaries for 2.5 hours at 25 lumens. The MN01 should be the black based one and is rated at 15 lumens for 1.5 hours. Keep in mind that the MN02 (or any incan) will have it's life shortened by under running it (i.e. running a 2 cell bulb on 1 cell)

Doesn't it seem that it should last longer, running the 2-cell bulb with 1-cell? At any rate I can't even find the MN01 right now and have been enjoying playing with this too much to stop now, so I guess I'll have to get a couple more bulbs for it.

What would be a good bulb for lower output with the E1e?

Be warned that the MN01's are somewhat fragile. just get an E2E and let the fun begin. Grab an older1/2/3 cell KL1, a KL4, and you have every light you ever wanted. As far as runnig the MN02 on 1 cell, just keep in mind that those are discontinued, and the 2.5 hours runtime with 2-Cells will be irreplaceable (stock anyways), not to mention that that E1E is/will be apparently discontinued. Enjoy your light!

I like my E1e, much more than I'd anticipated, especially since I don't care for my E2e at all. I like the beam and light of it, but not the form factor and I guess I'm always going to be a fan of the really compact lights.

I wouldn't take the inclusion or omission of any models in the 2009 catalog to have any relevance whatsoever one their availability this year or even in any year to come.
