Surefire E2E vs Surefire L4

I would think about the L4. I also wouldn't totally dismiss the modular idea in the long run. I got a super deal on an E2L recently. Although I found the KL1 not bright enough, I know I can go with a KL4, an Aleph3 for super throw, or any of the E incans. You may not want it now, but you'll be glad you have it later!:)

I have both the L4 and the E2E and like them both for what they are. If I was to have one of them only, it would be the L4 without any doubt!
As I see it, the only drawbacks are the price and that the L4 is slightly handicapped in foggy conditions! In fog and mist, the E2E is better at "cutting through" so to speak.

One suggestion is this-wait until SF releases the E2D LED. It's suppossed to come out during 2006. I don't have much information about it, but I would imagine it would be dimensionally the same as the standard E2D, but still use a 5 watt LED.
