Surefire lights in stores ?

The dealer locater does not list Lowes in my area. It might need updating. If you check the Lowes website you can find a location that carries it.

I was at Lowes in Presque Isle Maine this morning, and they have the Surefire G2L, 6PL, and 2 packs of SF123 batteries in stock. If this Lowes store has them, they all should.

Metro Atlanta - my old home town.

Ditto the SFs at Lowes in Fayetteville.

Depending on the light you had in mind, you may have to do an internet purchase - Lowes only started carrying the G2L and 6PL.

If you're looking for a weapon light or a combat light, I'd suggest looking in the phone book and checking some of the gun shops, although there wasn't a particularly large selection of such stores in and around the metro area the last time I stopped through.

If you are planning on a G2L or a 6PL at Lowes, call ahead or make an internet purchase so that you will know that when you walk in to pick it up it will be there. I know of 2 stores close to my home that had either the 6PL or the G2L but not both at the same time. I heard that they go like hot cakes in some stores.

Also look in your yellow pages for "Police Supplies" Odds are they'll carry them.

Thanks for the help guys.
As it turned out, I had to run to Lowe's for an emergency plumbing repair.

So, I now have my first LED flashlight - a SF G2L in black. :grin2:
(That's one of the ones I wanted and the only Surefire they had).

...
Man, they weren't kidding when they claimed that it would outshine a big Mag!
Even though I'm in the near 'burbs, my house is in a low area and surrounded by tall trees so it gets pretty dark in the back yard. I usually bring a light when I let the dog out in the evening just so I can see what he's getting into. One of his favorite pastimes is herding the neighborhood opossum! :poke:

The back yard is a little over 1/4 acre and this little gem lights it up very nicely!
I'm not sure I care for the twisty tailcap, though. I may just have to replace it with a Leef McClicky. :D

thanks again,
Steve

If you're going to pick up a Leef McClicky, look at a Pelican 1010 case and foam insert from Lighthound.

The foam insert has specific holes for cr123 batteries and the bloody things are too expensive to lose in a desk drawer. :broke:

If you have a Sportsman's Warehouse near you they have a very good selection of Surefires.

Batteries Plus, at least here in Knoxville TN, is also carrying Surefire flashlights. They have long carried Streamlight having recently added Surefire.

Batteries Plus didn't show them on their website, but that doesn't mean they don't have them in the stores. I'll have to drop by there and see what they have.

I found the 62L I was looking for, but have my sights on a couple of others for gifts.
(some for me, one for them, some more for me, another for them, lots more for me ... )

Dang it, my lowes still doesn't carry anything surefire, i want boxes of 12 batts. Tired of having them shipped.

Judging from the various SureFire/Lowe's threads on CPF, and from my local Lowe's, it seems they are only carrying 2-packs of SF123A's.

Hopefully Surefire will do better with Lowes than Spyderco did with Walmart. None of the Walmarts in my area carry the two Spyderco models anymore. It's good to see these products offered in mainstream b&m stores.
