Surefire pocket clip removal

Is there a safe way to remove the pocket clip from Surefire flashlights? I have a C2 that I might end up keeping afterall but I don't like the pocket clip. It gets in the way. I would like to take it off if possible.

Almost anything will do. I use a shoe lace to pull it out.

Decided to keep the light.. The clip came out nice and easy with shoe lace. Thanks again for the help!!

I use a small screwdriver to pull it off.

The last two E2L's I bought had it glued on and they had to be
driven off with a punch and small hammer.
