I'm hardly in a position gain user experience with WeaponLights since I don't got no weapons.
That said...
At SHOT Show 2007 SureFire had proto-type X300 & X300L (Laser) WeaponLights.
Based on the same X200 housing, these featured a new bezel containing a Cree XR-E LED behind a new TIR optic. The bezel appeared less styled (to mine eyes) compared to the X200A's bezel and very slightly larger.
For the X300L SureFire changed the rail mount having found that laser zero is held better with the new method which from memory was a form of clamp rather than slide-on latching type.
SureFire tested the various insight/streamlight/laser devices light/laser combinations and determined that their varying abilities to [not] hold zero was not something SureFire wanted to replicate. Therefore the laser housing is more robust making it slightly more bulky. Still, the X300L should fit many of the existing holsters unless they are especially formed tight. It's possible a list of suitable holsters will be created in due course.
The beam and output of the X300/X300L had not yet been finalised but the proto-types had beams like the new L5 which is impressive to say the least. SureFire indicated a desire to increase the output from 120 lumens (of the new L5) to 160 lumens (or perhaps more).
I realise this is not a review, nor an experience of use, but I hope it helps provide some details and information...
I get the impression I'm repeating myself :nana:
