Surefire74 w/IMR's - anyone tried it?

I'm curious if the 16340's would hold voltage well under that load, or if maybe trying it with 18500 or 18650 size cells would give better results. I'm liking my Surefire31 with its bright, beautiful beam and want to try some other combos.
 
At first I thought you were a bot... I've never heard of a Surefire74 or Surefire31. To which models/accessories are you referring?

I think thats my doing.

When writing this guide, I applied nomenclature normally used for Mag upgrades (Mag85, etc). A Surefire31 is a SF 9P with three cells and a WA 1331 bulb. A Surefire74 is a 6P with a WA 1274. See post 2 here:

Sorry this isn't finished. The key here is amperage.

The WA 1111 drains the tiny IMR16340's to fast to be much fun. The 1274 is almost a full amp less, providing more runtime. I havn't tried it yet, but the cells should hold up fine to the load.
