Newly Enlightened
Here's what I received today from Surefire, after I expressed my dismay about it's changing modes with a light bump. Last time I buy a Surefire product -
Dear Sir,
This is normal. The LED is programmed to switch modes when the circuit is broken and then restored within 2 seconds. Normally the tailcap switch does this but if the light is dropped/bumped with some force it causes the batteries to break contact and then reconnect causing the LED to switch modes. While I don't want to say that it was designed this way there is really nothing that can be done to avoid it with this type of flashlight. If you have any other questions please let me know.
