The tail switch I fitted to my 2 AA maglight has failed after a couple of years can anyone recommend a quality replacement?

Thanks

Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong section.

I've used the Terralux TCS-1 and they work well as a switch (reverse clicky). The main caveat I have is that the TCS-1 threads sometimes seem to be somehow just slightly out of sync with the AA Mini Mag tail threads. This results in great difficulty in threading the TCS-1. In these cases, lots of lube, patience, and working the TCS-1 back and forth usually gets the tailswitch finally fully threaded onto the Mini Mag.

Reverse clickies are less expensive, arguably more reliable. Technically they are by design more reliable but then you make 'em cheap and you run the risk of the switch failing so it could be a draw. They are also easier for you to click through the UI of multi-mode drivers. Just a half depression get's you to the next mode.

Thanks, I'm trying to learn a little about a tool I use often.
