Tailcap charger turns light on????

I tried my tailcap charger for my M90 yesterday for the first time.

The M90 was in 13v config., with the D36 700 lumen bulb in place.

Once I plugged the charger into the wall I saw that the bulb was lit, just enough to give a dirty orange glow.

is that normal? I unplugged right away and just used the regular charger.

Used the light later with no sign of damage to the bulb. Hmmmm.

Unless thats a charging indicator that doesn't sound right, I would guess that it connects the battery the lamp and the charger in series as one circuit and the charger is lighting the lamp, I don't think that is going to be fun when you want it charged fast.

Its normal for mine. When its fully charged the lamp turns off.

Okay, I'll go with that. I've never had a real rechargable light before so i didn't know what to expect.

The charging time increased by the bulb being on doesn't really affect me; I've got 16 hours between shifts to let the thing cook. I was more worried about possible bulb damage.

Another mystery solved!
