Telling XP-E and XP-G apart

I don't have any XP-G lights yet, but in every picture I've seen of the business end of one, the LED looks just like an XP-E. Is there an easy way to tell them apart at a glance?

The LED package is the same size, but the die (the square yellow bit) is larger in the XP-G, it fills almost all of the dome.
