I bought this light a week ago, for $24. Couldn't find many pictures of it, so decided to share my own. Perhaps being useful to someone interested in this light.

Basic Info -

  • Cree P4 LED
  • Uses one AA battery
  • Three modes - High, Low, Strobe

Thanks for sharing the photos. I was thinking about maybe getting one of these Terralux lights or the two AA one for general nightstand and loaner duty.

What are your opinions of it so far?

Share some more info if you have it,been thinking of trying that brand for a couple of weeks now.The only ones I have seen are the double cell versions and I am keen to keep my collecting habits to single cell only, not bothered which cell as long as it is single cell.

Look at my signature. :twothumbs And my sole review on batteryjunction.com

Extra Info-

The light looks and feels good quality. Is made of aluminum. Pocket clip is nice, and feels sturdy. Has two brightness levels, and strobe. Up close, the beam is more of a hexagon shape. It is bright though, and doesn't bother me.

Info on Packaging-

  • Cree XRE LED
  • High Setting - 100 Lumens, runtime 1 hour
  • Low Setting - 50 Lumens, runtime 2 hours
  • Strobe - 100 Lumens
  • Uses single AA battery
  • Made of Aluminum
That's about all I know about it. In my opinion, it's a good light for the price. Costs around $24.

Been wanting to try one of these for ages,so I bit the bullit and ordered it Monday night and it arrived this morning.Well i have had time to play with it and I am very happy with my new purchase.

A very simple UI,press clicky to switch on,tap to change mode, starts in high then low then strobe, would prefer to start in low but it is so quick and easy to change no problems.

As a tail stander it lights an average room up very well indeed and once outside lights my old farm buildings around me very easily indeed.

At £19.95 UK delivered very happy as a good budget light.

Does it have an alloy OP reflector or SMO plastic reflector and a glass or plastic window?

whatever it is, its either SMO or some sort of TIR collimator...everything else will distort the signature "inova rings" :D
Not bad for Terralux to come out with something like this. Hows the thermal conductivity? does it feel warm after a brief amount of time? One of the greatest disadvantages of Terralux dropin's is the lack of a suitable heatsink...which I often wonder whether that will affect its own line of lights

This seems like a nice light, where did you guys order yours.

Was using mine on high the other night for ages on high looking for a fox, stayed cool not even warm at all, used this light a lot recently and like it a lot,so much so that I intend to buy the smaller version and also the 220 lumen version.

I gave this light to my Dad, and he used it at his job for about a year. Until it broke, the dome on the LED cracked off. So I took it apart, here are the pictures.

I want to upgrade or mod this light. To use a brighter LED, and metal reflector.

The stock reflector is made of plastic. Any suggestions on where I could get an LED and metal reflector?
