Hello all,
I've been curious as to which is the best H4 and H7 bulb.
After doing some homework, I've found that the best H4 bulb is supposed to be the Philips Xtreme Power, but this site seems to rate the Osram Night Breaker plus bulbs as the best, even better than that of the new Philips Xtreme Vision.
I currently have a pair of Philips Xtreme Powers, and really don't plan on replacing them soon, but it never hurts to ask.
So I'm curious which among the 3, (as well as the overwattage 70/65W bulb) is really the best.
The site is listed here:
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product...ent_white.html
I have the same question for a pair of H7s as well, but these are ones where the bulbs have started showing filament irregularities, so I suspect they'll need replacement sooner rather than later.
Finally, I'm trying to convince a friend NOT to buy a pair of aftermarket HIDs which are supposed to put out around ~3000 lumens, but I argue that he's better off using some 9012s as it puts out 1800 lumens of USEFUL light, rather than HID which would scatter it everywhere.
As well, it would less glare-y and doesn't run the risk of having ballasts fail/killing wires, etc etc, as it's essentially a halogen bulb, and I just want to ask if I'm right for some confirmation on this.
edit: The bulbs are for a 1999 Toyota Sienna (beautiful, smooth beam, just not very bright), and a 2005 Mercedes C-class (surprisingly chunky beam pattern)
