Hello all,
This is my 1st post. I really have my eye on one of these models. I'm not sure if one performs better than the other, depending on my choice of battery configuration. For the TK-30, I know I would want to go with 2 of the highest mAh, 18650s and a charger. For the TK-40, I would want to go with the highest mAh, NiMh, AA batteries along with a capable charger.
Can anyone tell me about their experience with either of these models. If so, can you tell me exactly what your battery specs are, that you are using, and what make/model of charger you're using. Is one model slightly better than the other, or is it just a matter of what kind of battery system one wants to go with.
I've been looking at separate battery and charger combos from Battery Junction.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have a TK40. I power it exclusively with Sanyo Eneloop AA cells based on the recommendations from fellow TK40 owners here on CPF. I use a Titanium Innovations M-8800 charger.

I run my TK40 with Sanyo Eneloops or Rayovac Hybrids using the manufacturers chargers. Performs great.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I just read the 5 page post comparing the above two flashlights. WHEW, that took a while. I've decided to with the TK-30. I also want to buy another flashlight that runs on single 18650s.

I have TK40 with Eneloop and TK30 with AW18650.
and until now i still can not differentiate which one which when they compare side by side.
i'm taking about both of them have similar both output and beam pattern or beam color.
so the main differences are just the type of the battery, how you change between the module (UI) and the TK40 have strobe mode but TK30 doesn't.
