It's slightly to the side of the topic but since I've had kids (7 & 3 now) it has amazed me at the simple wisdom and inspiration that comes from some of the classic children's books. Two of my favorites:

• "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss is just about my favorite bit of night time reading to my young sons. Sooo much in that simple poem to help one successfully navigate life.

• "It Could Have Been Worse" by A. H. Benjamin

If adults took these two books to heart the world would be such a better place. :sigh:
