EXCELLENT movie!... well... in my opinion... :grin2:

Nicolas Cage was superb as always and the story was very good. Even had scenes straight out of "Fantasia"... same music and all! For those of us who remember that as a child, it was a very nice surprise... :twothumbs

One thing that was VERY interesting was the co-star, Jay Baruchel. I'll admit that the only other movie I have seen with him in it is "Million Dollar Baby" and I honestly don't remember him very well in that movie. Anyway... in "Sorcerer's Apprentice", he is a young Christian Slater. As a matter of fact, I would have put money on him being Christian's son. If you closed your eyes and just listened to the voice, it *IS* Christian Slater! Unreal! :wow: ... I came home and googled the kid and there is no relation at all.

Anyway... I highly recommend the move... it was well done. And unlike "Kick ***", I'd bring my kids to this one... well... if I had kids that were younger than 20... :D

I saw the movie last night and enjoyed it as well. I especially liked the subtle humor (such as the Star Wars reference and the Ford motor company product, without making any spoilers).

Oh I see we have a UFO fan on post #2 :welcome:

I watched it tonight. I did like it but the kids voice was a little annoying.

I would give this one two thumbs up.:thumbsup:

Looking at the cast list I see Alice Krige played Morgana. I've seen her in other movies playing similar super villain characters, most notably the Borg Queen.

My family enjoyed this movie while on vacation last week. Nicely done. And, if you hang around till after the credits, there is a bit more... the bad guy gets away and the original Mickey Mouse pointy sorcerer's hat is shown.
