Received yesterday my TLE-100EX* MiniStar10 from battery junction.

Following instructions it was easy to put in the new led module.
As stated you lose the ability to focus the maglite.
First impressions are good, I have no beamshots! Lots of flood. However The range you would get with focussing is better.
I am very happy with my new led. Especially with the foam insert, unbreakable bulb and the longer use of the standard battery 4 1/2 hr instead of 1 1/4 hr.

I actually removed (popped off) the difuser to get much more light out the front end of the optic.

However the difuser is there because of the poor beam shape. Too bad there wasn't a 4.5 degree stick on optic for this application that had good beam characteristics.
